Two girls stood next to an old stove in amongst a group of caravans.
Accession: 944/1835
The images have been selected from the Arthur J Fenwick collection of circus material.
Arthur James Fenwick (1878-1957) was a director of Fenwick's Department Store. In his personal life he was extremely interested in fairs and circuses, collecting historical material about them and building personal relationships with showmen who visited Newcastle. He was made a life member of the Showmen's Guild in 1944.

Week-end de ski au Mt-Ruapehu

Il faut bien être dans l'hémisphère sud pour faire du ski au milieu du mois de juillet! Le Mt-Ruapehu est l'endroit idéal pour aller en week-end de ski dans l'île du nord de la Nouvelle-Zélande. A 4h de route de la capitale Wellington, on trouve deux sites: Whakapapa et Turoa. Les montagnes enneigées avec le soleil du sud qui reflètent sont magnifique. J'ai donc essayer d'immortaliser le tout en prenant quelques photos...
