Print Giveaway!
It is time for the wonderful, magical, special secret surprise I’ve spoken of to be revealed!
I am doing a print giveaway! ‘Tis a wonderful occasion- the start of a new school year (for most), 100 likes on my facebook page, and my thanks to all my lovely contacts and more.
To Enter:
1. You must reside in the USA. I’m very sorry if you are from another country :(
2. Comment on this photo with your name, and the 3 most fascinating facts about yourself! I’m talking about deep dark secrets and strange habits/abilities.
3. Look out for a video with the winners in the next month!
Depending on how many people enter, I will decide how many winners there will be. I’m thinking 3 or 5 :D

My first Gocco printing experiment using the PG-11: our wedding invitation. This is the back, freshly printed.
The yellow parallelogram is supposed to be Arizona (where we live). Duncan and Williams are two cities here in AZ, and, coincidentally, are our last names.
The clouds, well, they're just cute.
We're having a small wedding: first, City Hall, then an informal dinner with close family at a bistro we love here in AZ. Having something so small meant we could hand-print our invitations without too much fretting.
Full set here.
print swap - james warren
Top left – James's MIH-02-09
Top right – James's MIE-03
Bottom left – landscape of memory
Bottom right – walking the fields [3]
An extremely satisfying double swap, James's prints are all hand made and absolutely beautiful. I'm particularly taken with MIE-03, made using a pinhole camera and glass plate, then contact printed. The damage and detail are really astounding in this print.
You can find James on etsy and at www.jameswarrenphotography.com/.

Long time no see
Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.
- Henri Cartier Bresson
I was trying to explain to my son what these empty film canisters are.
Me: "In the older days, we need to have these in our cameras before we can take pictures..."
Son: "Oh.. are they batteries?" :)
--------------
I've decided to collect a set of photos of these film canisters. For just mere keepsake or not, I love how they look, especially in a set.
I hope they may bring back fond memories for you. Which one is your favorite?

Swaptata '06 #1

A beautiful print and bonus card from astrocruzan as part of the Utata group's Swaptata '06.
Thanks D! They are wonderful. Now I just need to get some mats and another frame and I'll be all set. :)
Printed postcards
This is a first set of postcards I have got printed from two photos in my stream (ten copies of each). I plan to post all of these via postcrossing.
Photoways printed these in a bit more than a week. Their site claimed the postcards to be 15cm*10cm, but actually they are 14.8cm*10.5cm. I'll try to respect that ratio next time.

The Horseshoe Bend
The Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona is one of the most unique turns in Colarodo River. The water flow carved throught the navajo sandstone for millions of years and made an almost 360 degreed circular turn. It's a spectacular work of nature.
