Today I am really 77 years old and still ready to go ahead,

Mary McQueen, William Rhett and 3 other unnamed children demonstrate use of a traditional joggling board, Charleston, SC. National Geographic Magazine photo originally published in March 1939. Photo was probably taken in the summer of 1938. Location is believed to be the garden of 69 Church Street which was then the home of Charleston artist, Alice Ravenel Huger Smith.

Yup. That's my photo on the cover. So cool! The art director contacted me to use this photo. And then I reshot a hi-res version, which is the one they actually used.

I went by to visit the magazine today at Barnes & Noble and noticed it is selling like *hotcakes*! BTW, it's a great magazine that I read regularly.

(In truth they used another version of the photo, which I didn't think was the hero photo and I trashed it, so the linked photo is not exactly the one they used, which I think is kind of interesting.)

Squinting to read. I seriously have to basically have the page in front of my face by a inch to be able to read it. I need a eye exam. Actually I'd say I need a lot of things but really I'd rather have my eyes be safe and be good over a lot of things. I'm catching up on my reading today, this magazine, Google Reader, a few emails and IMs with someone special.

I'm feeling rather uncreative today but inspired so this is what it is. Deal.

it was an interesting feeling when I saw spacing magazine (and my photo on the cover) in the middle of all the big name magazines. taken in toronto's "pages" bookstore.

El stand de la revista Brando fue el mejor de todo TEDx. La gente iba, se sacaba una foto en ese set tipo tapa de revista, y se la entregaban impresa. Me pareció muy original y muy en sentido del espíritu TED, creatividad e interacción. Por eso lo menciono. Fue realizado por Virginia Zalabeite, directora de arte de TCC | La Factoría www.factoria.com.ar .

La foto que hice fue "El fotógrafo que fotografía al fotógrafo", meta como era de eseprarse de mí. Esto es una foto de la foto entregada en papel. El fotografo es Juan Gonzalez del Cerro.

The booth of Brando's magazine was the best of all TEDx, imo. People would go, have their picture taken in that magazine-cover-like set and they would receive their photo printed minutes later. Was very original to me and held the TED spirit of creativity and interaction. This is why I mention it. It was thought up and developed by Virginia Zalabeite, art director of TCC | La Factoría www.factoria.com.ar .

The theme I used for my picture was "the photographer that shoots the photographer, quite "meta" as expected from me. As well, this is a photo of the printed photo. The photographer is Juan Gonzalez del Cerro.
