I know, it's another photo of Bratislava castle. But as it is so dominant in Bratislava, you just have to take more photos of it. Same as when photographers from Paris have a lot of photos of the Eiffel tower, I have a lot of photos of the Bratislava Castle :)

I haven't done a double tone-mapped HDR in a long time and this photo gave me the opportunity. I went for a little more grunge look, with a lot of detail and de-saturated colors.

That was one cold evening when I took this photo. It was in April, but it was actually snowing few hours earlier. So it was cold and windy. But around sunset it got much better, so I was able to take some nice photos :)

I took this photo two times. One at F2.8 and one at F9. I just wanted to see the difference. And in the end I went with the one at F2.8. It blurred the background a little, which made the bikes stood up a little more.

This is the entrance hall to the Slovak National Theater (the old building). The whole theater has this ball chandeliers which make a strange combination to the classic look to the building. I wouldn’t want be the one that changes the light-bulbs :)

Decorated ceiling

A lot of people from Bratislava will not recognize where was this taken. I wouldn't either a few weeks ago. But now I know, that this is the ceiling in the historical building of the Slovak National Theater. The light in the middle is also very interesting. It's created from hundreds of old style light bulbs and can be switched into different configurations, of which ones are turned on.

Usually when the weather is like this (cloudy, not much color, boring sunset) I wait for blue hour, as the lights of the city add enough color to the photo. But as my ship was leaving right around that time, and I still had to walk back to the city, down a wet hill, with no lights along the path, I decided not to push my luck. So in the end, the view was nice, the colors were a little boring :)

No that's not a typo. The fitness center in this building is called Relaxx. Or maybe the whole building is called that, I don't know. But it still is a very interesting looking building which also reflects the surroundings so nicely.
