Comparing to my recent photos, this one is not so colorful. But as the sunset when I took it wasn't colorful at all, I had to add a lot of saturation. For those interested, this is the Liberty bridge in Budapest

A crop of a panorama shot of Ryoji Ikeda's installation The Transfinite at the Park Avenue Armory. I knew I couldn't capture the experience with single frame photos, so I tried some hdrs, which didn't work at all, and finally tried essentially bludgeoning my panorama stitchers into doing it for me. The chopped up results are marvelous.

The photos are massively dissimilar to most of the existing photos of the piece, since they are composited out of many discrete moments of the installation, rather than a moment in time. The installation is massive, and difficult to comprehend, a multisensory experience of audio, video, and architecture.

This wonderful color illustration of Aquatic Plants including a wonderful lily pad right in the center is between pages 126 and 127.

this is from my recent staying at rural areas of porbandar, gujarat, after the floods.
the panorama here is not just a mere landscape, the water is not merely sea-water, its the water logged in the fields, till ur eyes reach. this green end was the max. we could go, about 25 villages r expected to be in those waters since last 1 wk.
in the middle of the pic, u can see the road and the fence leading to the deeper areas. that's the top of the fence part.

Dedicated to Manish Singh. We did a 3-hour voice conversation to help me fix my tone-mapping problem.

Taken at Gare de Rennes or the Rennes Railway Station. It's one of my favorite spots. It's a happening place in Rennes. I have a photo set which is about photos taken near theGare. The set is availble here.

This one is a single-image HDR. I had a tripod when I made this one. Post processing in photoshop.

Taken at the Miracle of Lights display in Centreville, VA. Because the car was moving and the exposures were long, the photos came out almost without exception very blurry. So I decided to play, and tiled them to look like Lite-Brite creations.

Good morning. This is a shot from Photo Booth on my new MacBook Pro. The five-year-old Gateway laptop has been offered a retirement-type job as an adjunct to the telescope once I figure out how to take pictures with it. Now I can process pictures on the road and around the house!

These birds hatched from a birdhouse on our porch. We got to see all 5 or 6 of them come out and fly for the first time. When the roll was developed, didn't get the pictures on CD, so this is scanned.

The spring 2013 hackNY student hackathon brought in hundreds of students to Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science April 6-7 for 24 hours of creative collaborative hacking on New York City startups' APIs.

NYC Startups, selected by a student organizing committee, presented their technologies at the beginning of the event, after which students formed groups to work through the night implementing their own ideas for fresh hacks built on top of these APIs.

On Sunday afternoon students presented their projects to an audience including a judging panel featuring members of the NYC startup community, which selected the final winning teams.

Since April 2010, hackNY hosts student hackathons one each semester, as well as the hackNY Fellows program, a structured internship which pairs quantitative and computational students with startups which can demonstrate a strong mentoring environment: a problem for a student to work on, a person to mentor them, and a place for them to work. Startups selected to host a student compensate student Fellows. Students enjoy free housing together and a pedagogical lecture series to introduce them to the ins and outs of joining and founding a startup in NYC.

Edward Hungerford was born on 10 June 1863 in Cahirmoore, Ireland (County Cork), the son of Henry Jones Hungerford and Mary Boone Cowper. Hungerford migrated to Australia around 1882 and became a long-serving member of the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. He died 24 June 1956 in Newtown, Sydney.

The Australian National Maritime Museum undertakes research and accepts public comments that enhance the information we hold about images in our collection. If you can identify a person, vessel or landmark, write the details in the Comments box below.
