OK here is a new one for me. Selective coloring is just another technique you can use in photoshop to draw a viewers eye to a certain subject. In this case the bluebonnet. Why I chose this image for selective coloring, something I do very little of, is because I wanted to emphasize how much this bluebonnet on the river bank stood out. It was a nice touch of color among the reeds and rocks. And as the state flower it deserves to stand on its own. I however did tonemap the rest of the scene to try and put together a nice black and white scene as well. But the focus remains on the flower.
