"Dear Mother,

I read your letter to Elizabeth this evenint asking for information about the marrage, etc. I believe she sent some dope but I'd like to change it a little.

Name: James Harold Turnock Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Turnock, 1010 Main St., Evanston, Ill.; graduate of Evanston Township High School class of '35; attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago. I would rather you didn't mention Northwestern as I went there for such a short time. I guess I'll give you all the dope about the wedding, etc.

I was made Staff Sgt. today. That'll be a help. I still don't know when I'll leave for O.C.S., but hope it will be pretty soon.

I hope you'll write soon. Give my love to everyone.

Lots of Love,
Jim."

James, Marie.
handwritten letter.

December 1, 1942.
